Important Exam Week Information



Exam week at St. James Collegiate will start on 
Friday, January 29th and end on February 4th.

*Grade 9/10/11 students write their English exams, in class each day, on January 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th.  The final component of their exam will be written in the gym, on January 29th.

*February 5th is an in-service day and students are not required to be at school.

Expectations/Guidelines for all students during exam week:
  • Exams in the morning will begin promptly at 8:30 AM
  • Exams in the afternoon will begin promptly at 1:00 PM
  • Students who are more than 15 minutes late for their exam will not be admitted into the gym.
  • All students will write their exams in the gym unless they have been otherwise notified
  • Students cannot be on their cell phones or electronic devices at anytime during the exam writing process.  Please leave all electronics in your locker.
  • All student are expected to stay in the gym during their scheduled exam writing time for a minimum of 90 minutes.  Students will be dismissed at that time unless they require additional time.
  • Regular classes will not be running during exam week so students are allowed to leave the building upon completion of their exams.
*If students require any timetable changes for Semester 2, they need to make an appointment at the office to see a guidance counselor.  Appointments book up quickly and will start on January 29th.

Red River Open House - February 16 & 17

Red River College would like to invite student and parents to join them at our annual Open House.  The event will run over two days at the Notre Dame Campus, Exchange District Campus and Stevenson Campus.
 
All program areas will be represented at the Notre Dame Campus in the North Gym Exhibition Hall.
 
Tours will be available at all three of the Winnipeg campuses, Notre Dame, Exchange District, and Stevenson Campus.
 
Tuesday, February 16, 2016      11:00a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 17, 2016  9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
                        
 Open House 2016 will feature the following:
 
Come and visit RRC’s home to Culinary Arts, Professional Baking and Patisserie and the Hospitality and Tourism Management programs at Paterson GlobalFoods Institute.  Residence tours will also be taking place.  Tours of this facility will begin at the Roblin Centre (160 Princess Street).
 
A wide variety of different types of campus tours and information sessions will be offered.  These tours and information sessions are more specific and will allow students to learn more in depth about the programs they are interested in.  (ie.
